This blog will present my toughts about certain topics within software and business.
My name is Rasmus Steiniche I am a software engineer (M.Sc. in Software Engineering) and a business person (MMT / Executive MBA).
I am currently CEO at 1st Sound Lyd & Lys ApS, former CTO at Pay E-Safe ApS, and currently Co-Founder and CEO at neurospace.
The inspiration for topics will often seem from my education and my current work.
One of the topics I find interesting is software processes in general including Agile and Lean development methods.
I am a huge fan of Kent Beck, Martin Fowler and their work upon eXtream Programming and Refactoring in particular.
I had the first great pleasure of working with eXtream Programming when I was doing a project called Giraf. Giraf is an app platform for android tablets focused on learning and communication for children with autism. We used “the complete package” from eXtream Programming, but Pair Programming is one of the most controversial and the project team found numerous upsides and did not get acquainted with many downsides.
Previously I worked on a project for Lytzen IT which were in need of certain functionalities within their Cisco telephony structures. In this project the team decided to use eXtream Programming as the development methods of choice and the team never looked back.
Since then I have looked into many development methods also including hybrids as Kanban.
At the later years of my education I was introduced to the software innovative methodology Essence which is currently being developed by Ivan Aaen and others at Aalborg University.
My Master Thesis is concerned with Essence and tries to aid the research upon business, innovation, and software development with a focus upon affordances.
